Mi bebe Dos is 5 months old today, hooray! His age of transition starts here. He babbles a lot which sounds like words to us. He can roll over from his back to his tummy. He carries his head and neck more stably. He laughs at silly faces and never ceases to make us laugh. His grip is getting stronger, he can now hold his bottle. His sense of sight and hearing are improving. He cries when someone leaves the room and he looks at where the sound is coming. He sleeps through the night (good news for me). I am anticipating more remarkable changes on him in the coming days.
Although Dos is my 2nd baby, I still cannot say I know it all. I still help myself to be knowledgeable enough by continuously reading motherhood stuff, baby development stages and related articles to guide me as if this is my 1st time. I always believe motherhood is an incessant learning process. You should not stop to learn and discover new things for the betterment of your kids. But just the same, I only do what is applicable with my kiddos. I always compare the book versus the actual. Plus I always listen to my instinct. And so far, I think I’m on the right track.
Dos is only 5 months old today, but I believe he’s the best teacher I can get.

true, parenting and motherhood are always a continuous learning process. i have 3 boys aged 19, 16 and 9 and what is applicable to one may not be true for the others. :)

Thanks. Yes, every child is unique.
DeleteMost of the times, we learn from our kids. Like in my case, I learn how to deal with him, I learned how he made his first walk and other first.
ReplyDeleteKids teaches us what to do, we just have to be diligent student, right?
DeleteI agree we learn a lot from our children. Virtues like patience for example :)

DeleteParenting is the most difficult of all because we never know if we reared our kids well until they themselves are way over 20 and are leading their own lives and their families! But, five months and the next years are the most exciting times of all when changes happen too fast and too soon! Happy parenting!

Perks of motherhood :) Celebrating each month is really a treasured thing to remember :)
ReplyDeleteOo nga. I'm always anticipating his birth-date each month.
Deleteoh yes...i agree with you! we are constantly learning things from our children! and it is good for us as moms to keep trying to learn too!! 5 months is a fun age...good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
We mothers should be updated just like the kids nowadays keep on changing. I'll follow you, sure.
Delete5 months, the age when I can already carry a baby without being so scared hehehe. I have never attempted to pick up my nephews when they were younger than 5 months, afraid I'll break something lol! Babies look so fragile kasi.
ReplyDeleteThat was also my thinking before I got my own child. When I had my 1st child kahit napakaliit nya gusto ko lagi siyang karga.hehe
